The Paiva Walkways and the Portuguese Venice – 90€ per person! + the Arouca 516 Bridge (optional).

The Paiva Walkways is one of the most beautiful trails in the world and a World Travel Awards winner in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019!

It is a 8 km boardwalk zig-zagging down along the left bank of Paiva river at Arouca Geopark, a UNESCO Geological site.

New Feature: the Longest Suspension Footbridge in the World called Arouca 516! It spans 516m-long (1,692ft) across the valley and hangs 175m (576ft) above the Paiva River. Will you dare?

NOTICE: the bridge ticket is optional and is NOT included! You need to tick the add-on box “Arouca 516 Bridge Ticket” at the check out. It costs 10€pp.

After the walk, another highlight of our day: a delicious meal at a typical restaurant with panoramic views. (meat, fish or vegetarian options available).

Time to enjoy a relaxed afternoon at the so called “Portuguese Venice” – the beautiful city of Aveiro!

We’ll explore the old quarter, wander through the main squares, see the fish market and taste one of city’s delicacies: sweet-eggs!

And, once in Aveiro, a boat trip over the canals is a must do! You`ll board on a “moliceiro” – the traditional river boats – and discover the charming city through the canals.

Time for a drink or a ice-cream before heading back to Porto.

Note: We advise you to bring comfortable footwear and clothing, water, a sunhat and sunscreen.

Alert: arriving at to the Walkways, the road gets a bit winding. If you have car motion sickness problems, we advise you to have a tablet or a pill to help with that issue.

One of my best tour ever. It is a must do tour! I’m afraid from high places, but the tour including the bridge walking was very safe. Norberto is a very nice person, before the tour, he answered all of my questions very quick and was very flexible. He gave a lot of information us about the portugues people, the area, before the tour. I’ve enjoyed the paiva walkways, the boat trip on the canal of Aveiro and Costa Nova, the village with the striped houses. Because of it is a group tour, it is a nice program when you travel alone. The Arouca geopark is amazing!

geweldige ervaring in een prachtige natuur, perfect geregeld door een fantastische host.Echt een aanrader! Bedankt Norberto

What a day! All the way from the first rest stop to the drop off in Porto, everything was well planned and so nice to be a part of. The walkway is beautiful and very manageable, Aveiro was like a postcard, and the little boatride very enjoyable. Lunch was amazing! We will remember it for a long time 😊 Norberto was very friendly and attentive and put a personal twist on the experience. We strongly recommend both him and the trip!

I love the tour! Norberto planned it down to the last detail. You get a chance to see, taste, learn and experience so much all within one day. Being mostly vegetarian, I couldn’t resist trying a meal option cause it was so good. The Paiva walkway was beautiful and relatively easy to walk. Norberto was very attentive, friendly and even shared his inspiring stories about his travel experience and volunteering work!
