A spectacular trip inside Morocco. A loop that begins and ends in the city of Casablanca, passing through the desert.

Once a year – March/April – 10 days Trip – with me! 

We`ll visit some of the most fantastic places in Morocco!

Morocco is a country with a rich culture, breathtaking landscapes, extraordinary architecture, colorful handcrafts, fabulous food and, most importantly, an extremely affable and friendly people.

From North to South, from East to West, the country scenery changes on every kilometer. Sea, mountains, valleys, oasis, desert! It is amazing to witness such great changes in landscape while in the same country. The climax of this trip will certainly be the arrival in the desert. We`ll be able to walk on the warm sand of the Sahara, enjoy the colors of the dunes, the sunset, the sunrise, and enjoy a desert camp under the most beautiful stars!

Afterwards, Marrakesh and the last day in a relaxed coastline beautiful little town. 

It will be a remarkable journey, not only by the landscape or the cultural experience but also by the method.  I`ll be with you since your arrival at the airport in Casablanca until the moment of departure.

Day 1: Arrival in Casablanca

Day 2: Casablanca– Rabat – Meknes – Fes

Day 1

Casablanca airport -> Hotel

  • Arrive at Casablanca Airport, meet me and transfer to your Hotel in the city. Check in at your hotel.
  • In the afternoon, we`ll do a short city tour in Casablanca. Casablanca is the economic capital of Morocco and the largest city. We`ll visit the famous mosque Hassan II. It is the highlight of the city and held the tallest minaret in the world: 210 meters (689ft!!). We will pass at the Ait Diab District – which is the most fashionable district – and visit the Mohammed V Square in the center of the city.

Day 2

Casablanca -> Rabat -> Meknes -> Fes

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Drive towards Rabat. Visit the old city center such the Kasbah of the Oudayas, Mohammed V Mausoleum and Hassan Tower, which minaret was built in 1195. Stroll around the old quarter.
  • Passing through Meknes, we`ll appreciate the massive Bob El Mansour gate. Time for lunch in Meknes.
  • Continue to Fes. Once in Fes, we´ll check in at our hotel and visit the ancient medina of Fez that has not changed for centuries. We`ll be visiting the old leather tanneries in the world. You will feel an authentic experience by strolling the tiny streets of the old medina. We will visit a Medersa and a ceramic company producing tiles and pottery. Fes is an amazing untouched place where locals live the same way for centuries.
  • Traditional dinner.

Day 3

Fes -> Azrou -> Ifrane -> Midelt

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Let’s start our journey towards the cedar woods forest and get in touch with the wild primates. It is also a day of good action. And here is a special appeal: you are all invited to bring a piece of clothing. Or two. Or a pair of shoes that you no longer use. They always request children shoes. If you have spare ones, just bring it. Winter is extremely severe and they live far from everything. We`ll offer it all to nomadic families in the Atlas mountains. Probably, in exchange, it will be offered a tea. It is a remarkable moment on this journey, not only by the gesture but also by observing the conditions of survival and resistance of some human beings.
  • Afterwards, the road will brings us the beauty of the Atlas Mountains, the villages on the way, the landscape and geography start to change dramatically showing this immense and beautiful country. Sleeping in Midelt.
  • Traditional dinner.

Day 4

Midelt -> Ziz Valley -> Errachidia -> Arfoud -> Merzouga (Sahara Desert)

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Finally, the Sahara Desert!
  • Before we reach the desert, we`ll still enjoy some of the most beautiful scenery of travel. The oasis of the valley of Ziz is breathtaking!
  • We have reached the desert!
  • It is the first eye contact with the golden sand of the Sahara. The rest of the day will be to enjoy the pool, just over the dunes, walk on the warm sand and enjoy a unique sunset. In the evening we`ll celebrate the arrival to the desert
  • Traditional dinner.

Day 5

Finally, the Sahara Desert!

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • One night in the desert!
  • The first part of the day will be free. You have time for yourself and to enjoy the desert on your own, and there are activities available such driving a quad on the dunes, off-road 4×4 desert experience, sand-boarding, etc. Up to you. At lunch time there will be opportunity for a short visit the town of Merzouga, to do some sightseeing and have lunch. But this is optional. You can choose to stay at the hotel.
  • At the end of the day, another great moment in this trip: you`ll ride a camel over the Sahara towards the nomad camp in the desert! You will sleep in a magnificent tent in the desert. Will you accept the challenge of climbing the Great Dune and witnessing the sunrise? We can`t say much more. The desert cannot be described, it needs to be lived!
  • Traditional dinner in the desert.

Day 6

Merzouga -> Tinghir -> Todra Gorge -> Dades Gorge -> Skoura

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • We return to the hotel in the morning, refresh our energies with breakfast and head towards the UNESCO heritage city of Tinghir. It will be amazing to see so much beauty straight in front of our eyes! Then the gorges of Todra and Dades! A journey of unparalleled beauty along the 1000 kasbahs route! It’s going to be a day of phenomenal landscapes.
  • We`ll arrive at Skoura at the end of the day, where a Kasbah with swimming pool and a spectacular view of the palm trees oasis will renew our body and soul.
  • Traditional dinner

Day 7

Skoura -> Ouarzazate -> Ait Ben Haddou -> Marrakesh

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • After a night in Skoura, we`ll drive through the city of cinema, Ouarzazate, and meet another great attraction of this trip: the Ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO heritage site. Have you watched the movie Gladiator? Do you know where it was filmed? Let’s walk through this Ksar and enjoy the magnificent views of the surrounding area. After the visit, the mountains of the High Atlas will give us stunning views all the way up. The desert was left behind. We`ll set off towards Marrakesh and stop at Tizi n’Tichka at 2260 meters of altitude!
  • (If we have time, we can also visit the cinema Studios in Ouarzazate)
  • Marrakesh! We arrived in Marrakesh!
  • We`ll check in at our Riad and prepare ourselves for a group dinner (optional) to socialize and celebrate the arrival in Marrakesh. We’ll walk around the square to see and feel the pulse in the busiest area of the city. Let’s marvel at the numerous cultural activities that take place there, from traditional songs to snake charmers, the place is filled with magic.

Day 8

Marrakesh

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • You have the morning free to wander around the Marrakesh souk, to discover by foot, to shop or choose souvenirs to take home.
  • In the early afternoon we’ll do a small walk along the streets less common to the tourist. It will be a great opportunity to see other side of the city of Marrakesh.
  • And, finally, once in Marrakesh, it’s time for a “must do”! After so many days on the road, it will feel great to go on a Hammam bath and massage. This is a delightful traditional experience. Your body and your soul will appreciate it! (This activity is optional)
  • Later, dinner will be done in group by the various restaurants that fill the Jemaa El-Fna Square, the mythical square of the city. It`s time to try different kinds of food and live the spirit of the square.

Day 9

Marrakech -> El Jadida

  • Breakfast at the hotel
  • Drive to El Jadida. El Jadida is the former Portuguese City of Mazagan, on the west coast of Africa, south of Casablanca. It was founded by the Portuguese in the early 16th century as a trade and military outpost on the sea route to India. It is a beautiful and quite city. It`s a perfect end for our journey.
  • Besides other attractions, the Portuguese Cistern is among the highlights of the city. The cistern is where Orson Welles recorded the movie Othello. A must visit!

Day 10 - End of the Travel

  • End of this spectacular experience. It’s time to drop you off at the airport!
