A complete picture about past and present! You`ll fall in LOVE with Porto!

After picking you up from your hotel, lodging or Leixões Cruise Ship Terminal*, we’ll have a full day covering all: modern and ancient Porto, the neighbor city of Gaia to appreciate the views over Porto.

We’ll explore the Old Quarter, including Cathedral and the medieval city, São Bento Train Station and get to know the meaning of the magnificent hand-painted tile panels and Ribeira, which is the heart of the Unesco Heritage.

Uptown, other highlights of our tour are the Allies Square and the City Hall, the Clérigos Tower, Lello Bookshop, Churches of Carmo and Carmelitas, the Jewish Corner and to the amazing viewpoint of Victoria.

For lunch, I will suggest Afurada – a small fishing village where you can have excellent options of fish or meat with a truly local environment.

We’ll stop at Serra do Pilar belvedere, for the most spectacular viewpoint over Porto and Luis I bridge.

Discover the world of Port Wines on a visit to one of the most exquisite Port Wine Lodges! A very informative visit to the wine cellars will be followed by a Premium Port Tasting with Chocolate Pairing!

* Notice: Shore Excursions are also available: If you come by cruise, we can pick you up at the Cruise Ship Terminal and drop you off there again. The tour (and price) is the same as described.

We spent a delightful day in Porto touring with Norberto. His knowledge was amazing about all the churches and history of Porto. The river cruise was a nice touch and gave us a chance to see Porto and Gaia from the river’s perspective. Overall, we loved the Sao Bento Train Station tour the best. What a fascinating dispay of artwork for such a busy place! Very unexpected, but well worth the time. Thank you for guiding us and sharing your love of Porto.

Wonderful day in Porto with Norberto!
Our group of four adults thoroughly enjoyed our full day tour of Porto with Norberto.
The tour began promptly at 9:30 when we were picked up at our hotel. The van was clean and comfortable.
Our first stop was at Sao Bento train station with its amazing tiles. Next we walked through the oldest streets in Porto on our way to Se Cathedral. During the day we visited many areas that we would not seen on our own. Norberto was able to point out so many things that we would not have noticed otherwise.
Lunch (at our own expense) was at a restaurant in a fishermen’s village. The menu offered many choices but this was a chance to try the local grilled sardines.
The viewpoint at Mosterio da Serra do Pilar offered wonderful views of the Duoro and the Dom Luis bridge.
The included Six Bridges boat tour offered views of the city and its bridges from another angle.
Our final stop of the day, before being taken back to our hotel at 5:30, was a short walk in the area near Igreja do Carmo.
This review only includes the highlights of the day. There was also a lot of interesting conversations and laughter.
Norberto is a very engaging guide who enjoys introducing visitors to his country’s history, Porto’s amazing views and architecture.
