Unfortunately, there is still a lot of work to do on what it concerns to equality in accessibility in Portugal. However, in recent years, much has been done to make public and private premises accessible to everyone. Therefore, chosen with the necessary rigor, we designed tours that are suitable for people with special needs in terms of mobility.

We provide guided tours specially designed for this context. It can be half day tours, full day tours or multi day’s tours/holidays. Our main tours are to Porto, Douro Valley, Aveiro, Braga and Guimarães. You can follow our suggestions or you can suggest your own tour and places.

Prices are on request, depending on the service requested, the number of people or days, etc.

Half Day Tour in Porto Downtown Historic Center

PLEASE NOTICE: we try to do exactly the same tour as we do on our ordinary tours, although, some places are not possible to visit due to inapt access for wheelchair users. Therefore, it is normal some changes such, for example, the wineries in Douro valley, where we visit the ones suitable for wheelchair users.

On the Half-day tour we visit São Bento Train Station to see the magnificent art in tiles, the Liberdade Square, the Clérigos Church, Ribeira, a Unesco heritage site, the Gaia quay, which offers a spectacular view of Porto downtown, a Port wine Cellar, where you`ll have the opportunity to visit and do some wine tastings.

Then, by cable car, we will go up to Luis I bridge; we`ll go across the upper deck of bridge, visit the area of the Cathedral and walk along one of the most beautiful and bustling streets of the city.

Full day Tour to Porto City

On a full day tour we don`t stick only to the historic center, but also the part of the city that lies on the sea. Visits to S. Bento Train Station, where you will see the magnificent art in tiles, the Liberdade Square, the Clérigos Church, Ribeira, a Unesco heritage site, the Gaia quay, which offers a spectacular view of Porto downtown, a Port wine Cellar, where you`ll have the opportunity to visit and do some wine tastings, are part of our day.

By cable car, we`ll reach the Luis I bridge upper deck and visit one of the most extraordinary viewpoints over the city. By crossing the Luis I bridge we arrive the area of the Cathedral.

After lunch, we’ll wander around the city, visit Foz District – where Douro River meets the Atlantic Ocean –  passing by the House of Music which an icon of modern art.

Braga and Guimarães Tour

These are two cities with an important role in the construction of the Portuguese identity, as a nation and  religion. Guimarães is the cradle of the Portuguese nation. Braga – ancient Roman city called Bracara Augusta – is over 2000 years old and is one of the oldest Christian cities in the world.

Our day start by visiting Guimarães, its historical center, the castle’s surroundings and visiting the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança. Then we walk down the oldest street in Guimarães to arrive to the Unesco medieval centre.

After lunch, we`ll visit Braga: the Sé of Braga, the oldest cathedral in Portugal; wander through the city center streets and visit the sanctuary of Bom Jesus, the amazing baroque stairway and the stunning views over the city of Braga.

Douro Valley Tour

Let’s start our day with a short stop in one of the most beautiful and charming towns in the north of the country – the charming town of Amarante.

The geography of the Douro Valley, with its vineyards worked over the centuries by the human hand, is unique in the world and surprises the most demanding look. The assorted viewpoints over the river and over the vineyards will prove it.

Lunch will be at a beautiful Port Wine Estate followed by a visit where you`ll have the opportunity to learn about and taste some Port wines. Afterwards, we`ll drive through some of the most beautiful roads arriving to the heart of Douro Valley: Pinhão village.

One of the ex-libris of the day is a boat trip on the river Douro, with the surroundings of the valley and its vineyards.


Aveiro Tour

This tour can be just half-day tour or full-day tour.

This is a tour dedicated to the Portuguese sea heritage. You`ll meet the center of the beautiful city of Aveiro, also known as the Portuguese Venice, taste one of the delicacies of the city – the sweet-eggs and take a boat ride in a moliceiro over the canals of Aveiro river, in the style of Venice gondolas.

You`ll wander in the magnificent fishing village of Costa Nova and enjoy a delicious traditional lunch.

After lunch, we can head back to Porto or visit Ílhavo and the Museum of the Sea – this is a Full-day tour option. At the museum you`ll see the biggest codfish aquarium in the world and learn about the Portuguese connection to this fish. Portugal is the largest consumer of codfish in the world!


Coimbra and Fátima Tour

Fatima Sanctuary is the most important place of pilgrimage and faith in Portugal. Every year, more than 6 million people visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima. It is a place of great respect, a sacred ground where faith and pray takes the highest emotional feelings. Fatima became one of the largest sanctuaries in the world.

Coimbra was the first capital of Portugal, which emphasizes its historical importance in the construction and diffusion of the Portuguese language and culture but, nowadays, it is well known as the student’s city.  The University of Coimbra is a World Heritage Site.

Other tour options are: Lisbon, Sintra, Cascais, Óbidos, Tomar, Algarve or so many other places, can be visited. Let us know where you want to go. We`ll organize it.
