An excellent day out with good variety of activities and scenery. The walk is incredibly beautiful and, today, wasn’t at all busy. I was a bit concerned about the ascents and especially descents but it was well within my capability and I really enjoyed it. It was good to be with such a friendly and supportive group of people.

Stunning scenery, food and a variety of locations all fitted into a fantastic day’s tour of the surrounding areas of Porto. The walkways themselves are UNESCO protected for a reason, that’s because they are breath-taking. The walk was well planned and the “tough bit” was put at the start of the walk so that the rest was easy to achieve. A brief stop in a local restaurant for a traditional Sunday lunch where the service and food were exceptional. Onwards to the Venice of Portugal in Averio and an enjoyable boat ride together with a brief lesson in the history of the town. A meander thorough the town down to the markets, finishing off with a sweet tasting pastry was enjoyable. Not finished yet, we were then taken to Cosa Nova, a beautiful old fishing village with colourful houses and a story well worth hearing. We would strongly recommend this trip to family and friends without hesitation.

Norberto was awesome. The trip was fantastic. The walkways can be difficult if you’re not used to physical activity, but Norberto starts is at the hard part and it’s all down hill from there. The boat ride in Aveiro was pretty great. We had an enthusiastic guide. Loved this experience. It’s a must do.

We had a beautiful day walking the beautiful wooden paths of Paiva, going by boat on the channels of Aveiro, eating in a local restaurant, and seeing the colorful Costa Nova houses. Norberto is gifted as a tour guide and wants, more manages to make all participants happy, comfortable, and welcome.
