Saímos do Porto às 8h da manhã em direção a Arouca onde faremos uma breve paragem usar a casa de banho e para um café.
Prepare-se para a aventura! De seguida, vamos para os Passadiços onde vai cruzar uma das Pontes Suspensas Mais Longas do Mundo – a 516 Arouca! Tem 516m de comprimento e 175m de altura sobre o rio Paiva!
AVISO: atravessar a ponte NÃO é obrigatório. Tem a opção de evitar a ponte.
Depois da ponte, irá percorrer os Passadiços do Paiva, a descer. São 7km de percurso ao longo de um passadiço de madeira na margem esquerda do rio.
Traga calções ou fato de banho!! A meio do percurso vai encontrar a praia do Vau! Terá algum tempo livre para mergulhar e nadar ou simplesmente colocar os pés nas águas límpidas do rio Paiva.
Atenção: certifique-se de traz uma muda de roupa! Não pode entrar na van com roupas molhadas!
(tem também a opção de caminhar apenas metade do percurso: 3,5 km. Iremos busca-lo a meio do caminho, mas pode decidir isso no dia do passeio)
O almoço é outro ponto alto do nosso dia: vitela assada no forno em potes de barro num restaurante típico da região. (há opções de peixe ou vegetarianas).
Depois do almoço, vamos descobrir Arouca através da cultura e histórica local com deguastação de doces conventuais relacionados com o Mosteiro de Arouca.
Regresso ao Porto.

Wind, Rain, Adventure, Beauty!
First, let me say that our tour guide was excellent!! He provided us with interesting and meaningful commentary, but he also took very good care of us! The journey to the walkways was very scenic and enjoyable! It was a windy, rainy day…but that only added to the adventure! After the hike we visited a wonderful restaurant for lunch and wine, all included, and then visited a bake shop for treats and coffee. The monestary we visited was incredible. The hike was just challenging enough for this older woman. It was a wonderful way to see the beauty of Portugal away from the cities.

The brigde and the nature is just stunning and we loved it so much.
We highly recommend this tour to everyone who loves to walk, be with nice people and have delicious food after.

Went to Arouca town and had a latte and pastry then up to large steel bridge! Walked 1 hour to smaller bridge where you could stop and travel with the guide or continue for another hour. Back into town for wonderful lunch and desserts at a special bakery!! Ricardo was incredible and caring and soooo nice. Highly recommend!

Wij hebben een supergeweldige dag gehad. Wij werden opgewacht door Luis, een hele leuke en spontane gids en hij praatte veel over de streek Arouca (historische weetjes). De langste hangbrug was echt een hoogtepunt voor ons soms ook een beetje eng als je door de roosters naar beneden keek. Daarna daalden wij af via de Paiva Walkways. Zeer mooie wandeling maar wel pittig. Toch wel 7 km gelopen! In de middag stevig geluncht met een heerlijk glas groene wijn erbij en de maaltijd afgesloten met een proeferij van diverse zoete hapjes en koffie. Daarna een kleine maar mooie nonnenklooster bezocht waar toevallig een trouwerij bezig was. Moe maar voldaan werden wij door Luis terug naar Porto gereden. Bedankt voor de leuke trip!!!
