In this tour, the walk difficulty level is easy/medium! You`ll walk only 5km and downstream!
Short description: You`ll go across one of the longest suspension bridges of the world and walk one of the most beautiful trails: The Paiva Walkways! Visit one of the highlights of Portugal: Costa Nova, and Aveiro, the Portuguese Venice!
We leave from Porto towards Arouca town where we will stop shortly for bathrooms and coffee.
After a short drive, we`ll arrive at the Walkways and go across the Suspension Bridge! It spans 516 meters-long across the valley and hangs 175m above the Paiva river!
Notice: crossing the bridge is not mandatory. You have the option to skip it.
Then, you`ll walk the Paiva Walkways downhill in a total length of 5km over a wooden boardwalk zig-zagging along the left bank of the river. Trail Areinho-Vau.
The walk will be followed by another highlight of our day: lunch! (fish and vegetarian options also available)
After a power nap in the van, we`ll arrive to Costa Nova! Costa Nova is one of the highlights of Portugal – a beautiful fishing village known for its striped colorful houses!
Time to enjoy Aveiro, also known as the “Portuguese Venice”! Discover the city center on a short walk, enjoy some free time and relax on a boat trip to see the charming city through the canals!
Finish the day back in Porto.

This was one of our favorite experiences in Portugal! The suspension bridge and walkways provided amazing views and lunch was incredible! Norberto was an excellent guide and very accommodating to our needs.
It was excellent tour with Norberto. He is very friendly and he tried to show us a lot and give us any information. We enjoyed it because Norberto is great storyteller and I think he loves it , so he could pass it on to us very easily. The places we could see are great , interesting and lunch at a local restaurant was delicious. I can´t say how wonderfull the day it was, our absolute best day in Porto. I can really recommend this tour to everyone!!!

Norberto was absolutely amazing! We had a short stay in Porto and this was a great way to make the most out of one day. The site seeing was spectacular, food and wine were to die for, and everything was very well thought out and timed perfectly. I would 100% recommend this tour. Was worth every penny.

We had a wonderful time!
Both places are worth a whole day trip but you get a chance to see them in one day with this tour. We missed nothing but could have stayed and enjoyed a little longer. There are many nice spots along the river on the pathways and Aveiro is a beautiful city. Lunch was excellent in a local restaurant we couldnt have found on our own. Norberto was on time and a perfect guide all day with many interesting facts and a broad knowledge. This small group tour was the highlight of our Porto stay.
The tour is perfectly tailored to experience both places, never feeling bored and never feeling in a hurry
