Get ready for adventure! After a short drive, we will arrive at the Walkways and go across one of the Longest Suspension Bridges of the World – The 516 Arouca! It spans 516m-long (1,692ft) across the valley and hangs 175m (576ft) above the Paiva river!
NOTICE: crossing the bridge is NOT mandatory. You have the option to skip it.
Then, you will walk the Paiva Walkways downhill in a total length of 7km over a wooden boardwalk zig-zagging downhill along the left bank of the river.
The walk will be followed by another highlight of our day: lunch! A delicious meal is deserved and it will take place at a beautiful typical restaurant! Meat, fish or vegetarian options available.

Tour Reviews
Norberto is personable, kind, has a good sense of humor, and has lots of personal stories and also Portuguese history and information about the environment and some of the challenges it is facing. Hopefully the new generations coming up will be inspired to help lead Portugal into the future. The trip itself is scenic and a nice way to spend a few hours out in nature. Norberto has the insider’s knowledge on where to drop off, so you don’t wear yourself out before the long walk even begins, that alone is worth every euro. And the lunch is fantastic and traditional for the area. We had a great day and are looking forward to a good night’s sleep.

The bridge was a cool experience and the hike by the river was beautiful. There weren’t too many people in January so the hike was very peaceful. I definitely recommend it if you like nature and hiking and you want to test your fear of heights. The bridge wasn’t scary though I thought I would be scared of heights. I would do it again.

What a fabulous and informative day.
I normally do private tours. Although this tour of 6 including myself was like a private tour. Our Guide Norberto was attentive to each of us as if it were a private tour. He was very knowledgeable of the history and places that we traveled. Always up beat. I was the only person of the guests that spoke fluent English and I was made to feel I was very much included and part of the group as Norberto toke great care to translate for me. I do highly recommend Norberto.
